Valeria Schulte-Fischedick lives and works in Berlin. She studied Art History, English Philology and Modern History at Humboldt University in Berlin. She is currently the coordinator / curator of the international studio programme at Berlin’s Künstlerhaus Bethanien. From 2010 until 2013, she was Director of Berlin’s Galerie Opdahl. In 2003, she was an academic advisor for the exhibition Louise Bourgeois – Intime Abstraktionen, Berlin Academy of Arts. She has curated projects such as Mesmerized (2012) and The Sophisticated Eye – Trompe L’Oeil (2010), Gegen den Strich (with C. Tannert, 2007) and Seeing the Invisible (2006/2007). She has published in art magazines and catalogues.
