Sophia Greiff studied Cultural Studies at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder and Art and Cultural Education at the University of Bremen. She was a graduate research assistant in the Visual Journalism and Documentary Photography programme at Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts from 2016 to 2021. Previously, she was a longterm co-curator of the Fotodoks Festival for Contemporary Documentary Photography as well as a scholar of the programme Museum Curators for Photography by the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation. She is co-head of program and curator at C/O Berlin. As a doctoral candidate at the Folkwang University of the Arts she is doing reseach on photojournalistic forms of narration and presentation in the photobook.
