Prof. Dr. Friedrich Weltzien is an art historian and cultural scientist. Since 2013, he has occupied the professorship in Creativity and Perception Psychology at the Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts in the Department of Design and Media. His research focuses on art and design theory from the 18th to the 21st centuries and the connections found in the histories of art, media and science. He is a specialist in aesthetic theories of the blot. His research and teaching content deal with photo theory, animality and aesthetics, media theory of fashion, spatial theories, comic history and experimental graphic practices.
